Environmental Stewardship

CM Tucker Lumber maintains a large timber holding across the states of North and South Carolina. Our acreage is certified by the American Tree Farm System which is recognized by the Sustainable Forestry Initiative and means we adhere to forestry best management practices. On average we plant over 275,000 trees per year.

Many of our products are treated with EcoLife®, an advanced non-metallic wood preservative system and carry a lifetime limited warranty against rot and termite attack. EcoLife is a NAHB Home Innovation Research Labs Green Certified Product for Resource Efficiency.

CM Tucker’s manufacturing and remanufacturing are zero wood waste facilities. All byproducts from these operations are used in other applications from landscaping to boiler fuels. In addition all excess chemical in wood treating is recaptured and used in future treatments.

Tucker Trucking, LLC only operates trucks that are certified clean idle and meet all emissions standards set forth by the EPA.

Working with Inman Solar and Duke Energy, we placed 540 solar panels outside one of our facilities in Pageland, SC that supplies all of the energy needed at this location. In a time when alternative energy is being endorsed by organizations and governments, we wanted to be leaders in this innovation in our industry. We also believe we can use the solar farm to educate people that we are in an environmentally conscious industry that cares about renewable resources and energy.
